Strands of Heroism

By Osey Chail - A Home For Haredi Lone Soldiers

Ma'ayanot Yeshiva High School For Girls Campaign

Donors: 7

Osey Chail, founded in 2016 by Rav Aharon Granot, supports lone soldiers from Israeli Ultra-Orthodox backgrounds who are often alienated from their families upon enlisting in the IDF. The organization operates 22 apartments across Israel, providing housing, emotional support, and essential resources. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by female lone soldiers, Osey Chail established two dedicated apartments in Mazkeret Batya and Ganei Yochanan, where adoptive families offer Shabbat and holiday hospitality, as well as emotional support. Soldiers benefit from therapists, social workers, mentorship programs, scholarships, and life preparation services. With fully furnished homes, stocked refrigerators, and a nurturing community, Osey Chail ensures that these courageous young women receive the warmth, love, and stability they deserve. As a school dedicated to educating and empowering young Jewish women and with deep-rooted values in the love and importance of Eretz Yisrael, Ma'ayanot is proud to support Osey Chail, through our Annual Challah Bake, in its mission to care for these brave female soldiers. By supporting Osey Chail, we provide our students with an opportunity to express hakarat hatov (gratitude) to those who defend Israel including many Ma’ayanot alumnae, while reinforcing the values of chesed, achdut, and communal responsibility. https://oseychail.org/en/home1...
