Do you know that in Israel in 2017, there are deaf and hard of hearing children who live in complete silence with no hearing aids?
The suffering, aggravation and negative implications on the child's rehabilitation process can be avoided in a simple and efficient way, by means of the Hearing Aid Loaner Bank operated by Beit MICHA.
Beit MICHA is a non-for-profit organization established in 1954 to support and rehabilitate deaf and hard of hearing children from birth until first grade. The organization cares for approximately 650 children and their families annually. A clear indication of the success of Beit MICHA's rehabilitation services is the fact that about 90% of MICHA's graduates are integrated successfully in regular first grade classes in the public school system.
Beit MICHA's Multidisciplinary Center provides the child and his/her family with all necessary paramedical professional services: Speech therapists, Audiologists, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Educational and therapeutic staff of the rehabilitative daycare nursery and kindergarten, as well as social workers. Beit MICHA has a renowned reputation in Israel and abroad for its professionalism and expertise in the rehabilitation of children with hearing loss.
Beit MICHA's Hearing Aid Loaner Bank serves as first aid for infants diagnosed with hearing loss in the hospital shortly after birth. Due to the increased number of children referred to Beit MICHA in recent years, the supply of hearing aids in our Loaner Bank has gone down to a critically low level. We hardly have enough suitable hearing aids in the Loaner Bank for the new children, who require this critical service to enable them to begin therapy and rehabilitation.

Please assist us! Your donation is important and will enable us, at the first stage, to purchase 20 new hearing aids (the cost of one hearing aid NIS 6,000).
