Social relationships and support are fundamental needs like breathing air for couples dealing with fertility challenges. Nowadays, unfortunately, these couples find themselves isolated from their communities due to the difficulties that burden them, that non suffers cannot understand.
ADVA serves as a home for couples, providing them with an attentive ear, emotional and spiritual support, and face to face meetings with other couples who are coping with similar challenges.
In addition, ADVA helps improve ties between these couples, their families and their communities. When necessary, they also help them obtain their full employment and financial rights. Since its inception, the organization has helped over 3,100 couples with fertility challenges on their journey to the goal of having children of their own. Over250 volunteers have joined and are working for couples in 113locations throughout Israel. Over 1,000 people participated in the conferences, and over 7,530 people enjoyed the activities of the association. Every year, 12,000 people turn to ADVA for assistance.

Areas of activity

* Support, accompaniment and empowerment: ADVA provides hotline of rabbis who have faced the challenge themselves. They also provide "match" for couples who are interested with couples who have met the challenge and are willing to help explain the process. These matches encourage the couples, invite them for Shabbat and assist with injections.

*Events and conferences for couples: Monthly meetings and annual Shabbatton for couples that do not have children. The meetings are a time out from the world of painful frustrating and disappointing treatments, and provide the strength to carry on. During the meetings the couples enjoy sharing, relaxation, liberation and enjoyment. They provide validation and support for the feelings of loneliness and an opportunity to get to know couples from all over the country who experience similar difficulties. The friendships that are created during these meetings endure and the meaningful experience of the events are engraved in their hearts.

*"Cooking With Love": A group of over 200 volunteers cook and deliver hot meals. These Shabbat meals and treats encourage the couples following treatments, and at times of disappointment or grief. This activity is uplifting for both the couples and the
volunteers.

*Social awareness: We believe that a warm and loving environment is essential for couples coping with the challenge of infertility. We hold open events for the community and its leaders who are involved in strengthening relationships and improving communication with couples and ways to support them. In addition, we organize an annual Shabbatton to raise Societal and Familial awareness of challenges of infertility.

*Obtaining full rights: In addition to the physical, economical and psychological difficulties, many couples also have to deal with red tape resulting from discrimination. ADVA educates theses couples about their rights regarding employment and medical status so that they can be utilized in dealing with organizations and employers. ADVA also works to change social and medical services. Following personal requests, we have helped thousands of couples obtain the rights they deserve.
