Erez Berkowitz - "OneFamily Fund- "Running for Them | Chicago Marathon 2026

So apparently, life has a sense of irony. Until not too long ago, I thought I was completely done with running the moment I got out of the army. It took me quite a while to recover from the trauma of 5 AM military runs, and somehow, surprisingly enough, lately I’ve found myself running voluntarily. My older brother, Eyal Meir Berkowitz, who fell during the Iron Swords War, absolutely hated running. Not “didn’t like running” - hated it. The kind of person who looks at people running at 6 AM and assumes they have unresolved issues.  He also made sure to say more than once over the years: “If anything ever happens to me - just don’t make a race in my memory.”  Long story short,  I signed up for the Chicago Marathon 🏃‍♂️😅 Despite everything, I know Eyal would support me - and maybe even join for a kilometer or two if I pushed hard enough. Now, on a more serious note - This year I’ll be running with OneFamily, an organization that supports bereaved families and victims of terror - an organization that has become very close to our hearts over the past two and a half years ❤️‍🩹 As part of this journey, I’m raising donations to support their incredible work.
