Heroes Fell. Heroines Rise. Over the course of the Iron Swords War, 355 women were widowed after their husbands — IDF soldiers — fell defending Israel and Am Yisrael. These women sent their husbands to war knowing the risks and bore the ultimate sacrifice for our people. Kuma is a national initiative of Sulamot, founded by Rabbi Yosef Zvi Rimon, created to ensure Israel’s war widows are not left to carry this burden alone. When you partner with Kuma, you help provide: • Monthly financial support to stabilize families • Emergency relief grants for urgent needs such as medical care, alternative therapy, moving expenses, or essential household items • Guidance and advocacy to secure government benefits and rights • Hands-on help navigating bureaucracy and “red-tape” • Ongoing personal accompaniment and emotional support, with dignity and care Kuma is not a one-time response.
