Sulamot is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2008 by Rabbi Yosef Zvi Rimon. Rabbi Rimon is a renowned author, lecturer and educator as well as an esteemed social innovator and leader.
Sulamot's activities place a premium on strengthening unity among Jewish communities and promoting mutual understanding among those of different affiliations and denominations. Rabbi Rimon has connected with Israel's military leadership as well as the average soldiers, who many consider a source of inspiration who has come to stand with them throughout the years at times of conflict and instability. Some dub him "the soldier's Rabbi". His organizations have regularly acted on behalf of soldiers from economically disadvantaged homes, as well as lone soldiers.
Rabbi Rimon's organizations have extensive experience working wtih the government and social services to distribute critical needs, and works with marginalized populations in Israel, enabling them to break the ceiling of poverty by helping them secure gainful employment and enjoy financial security.
In recognition of his outstanding achievements in these field, Rav Rimon was awarded the Katz Prize in 2018 for the application of Halacha in modern society, the President’s Prize for Volunteerism in 2008, and the Moskowitz Prize for Zionism in 2014 for his revolutionary Chessed initiatives.
Sulamot’s educational programming also reflects these principles. Through innovative programming, Sulamot successfully reaches hundreds of thousands of Jews.
Rabbi Rimon also serves as Rabbi of the Jerusalem College of Technology and Chief Rabbi of Gush Etzion in the Judean Hills.
