Matirot (formerly known as Mavoi Satum) was founded in 1995 by Leah Ain Globe, a 90 year old activist who collected the shocking stories of women held hostage by their husbands and the Israeli legal system. Today, Matirot is the leading women’s organization advocating for women’s freedom from get abuse.
