Since its establishment in 2011, Mitvim - The Israeli Institute for Regional Foreign Policies has been a leader in the Israeli think tank community for promoting Israel’s regional belonging in the Mediterranean, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Europe, and peace with the Palestinians. Consistently ranked as one of the top regional studies centers in the world, our mission is to deepen Israel’s integration in the region by creating both innovative policy proposals and engaging with the Israeli and international communities. At Mitvim, we believe that joint efforts on shared challenges is one of the best ways to promote peace and increase ties between Israel and its regional partners. We develop and promote a pro-peace, multi-regional, internationalist, modern, and inclusive approach to Israel’s foreign policy. Mitvim generates new, progressive foreign policy knowledge and puts it into use, working at the political, diplomatic, and civil society levels to achieve our mission. Core staff, policy fellows, and researchers produce original analysis and concrete policy recommendations. Mitvim conducts outreach activities to advance these recommendations, shape the political discussion, and influence policy. These activities include briefings to Members of Knesset, government officials, and foreign diplomats; policy dialogues with regional and international think tanks; expert-workshops and public events; media interviews and commentaries; and public opinion polls.
