The Midaat Association – for Rational Health (Registered Non-Profit) is a non-profit association that has been working independently for nearly a decade to promote public health in the fields of medical treatment and preventive medicine.The Association’s activity is based on a community of volunteers featuring over 300 medical, research and science personnel: doctors, scientists and researchers, nurses, parents and people who simply care. Most of our volunteers work demanding jobs in the health system, providing hundreds of hours of volunteer work on a weekly and sometimes even daily basis. What do we do? Midaat provides large number of Israelis with reliable and important information that helps them make health decisions, thus protecting all parts of Israeli society.Midaat Association was founded in order to establish a reliable, accessible and transparent public conversation and to fight for the right we all possess to good health. We examine medical information, simplify it and make it accessible to the public in an innovative, methodical and professional manner. The Association's people also work in conjunction with medical personnel and contribute from their knowledge to influence public policy. We base our work on reliable and proven medical and scientific information, and pass it on with uncompromising precision and care.We promote preventive medicine issues recognized by these scientific consensus and deal in encouraging vaccination, eliminating smoking, nutritional health, balancing blood pressure and diabetes, encouraging physical activity and more. All information distributed by Midaat is research-based and is examined by professionals from the medical and public health fields, who make it accessible using straightforward, clear and simple languageOur expert team of volunteers is working at full steam and accompanies the public health services at the Ministry of Health on a regular basis, advising and helping make data and reports accessible to the public in the matter of Covid-19 vaccines and during the polio vaccine complementary program (“Two Drops 2022”), acting to provide information on the Monkeypox outbreak, and leading the provision of information on routine vaccines.
