MATI – the Jerusalem Business Development Center, a not-for-profit organization, was established in 1991 aiming at stimulating the economy of Jerusalem by boosting job and new business creation, eradicating poverty and joblessness through programs that encourage and facilitate entrepreneurship. Each year, MATI Jerusalem helps thousands of entrepreneurs and business owners create or expand businesses in the city, thus aiding in the creation of thousands of new jobs and advancing the city’s overall economic development. MATI offers an extensive range of services to all residents of Jerusalem and environs, including: • Business consulting and initial business idea assessment. • Personal business mentoring at all stages of business establishment and management for enterprises in a wide variety of fields. • A comprehensive training program in diverse business fields. • Feasibility study and business plan preparation assistance. • Obtaining loans for entrepreneurs and business owners from various sources of financing. • Obtaining grants for new business establishment. • Business information services. Fees for all such services are subsidized. The staff includes consultants fluent in English, Russian, Arabic, French and Spanish.
