Commemoration in memory of Yair Levin HY"D

Sergeant Yair Levin HY'D was born in the community of Einav in Samaria on 18 Elul 5764 September 3, 2004 Yair was recruited into the Givat brigade and he was determined to be accepted into the commando unit and of course he succeeded. Yair fell during the "Iron Swords" war when a booby-trapped house collapsed and killed Yair along with his comrades: Staff Sergeant Eitan Klarsbun, Sergeant Almog Shalom and his commander Major Tal Pashvilski, company commander of the "Hachshara" commando unit of the Givati brigade. May their memories be a blessing. In the same incident, another 6 soldiers were wounded, including Yair Roitman HY"D who died a week after Yair Levin"s funeral and was buried next to him. Yair was a child of freedom, nature, friends and family. He knew how to make the most of every moment. Despite the challenges he faced during his life, he enjoyed life totally and happily. He was always optimistic and positive towards everyone. He had two major interests in his life – surfing and playing music. He lived for the ocean, loved to take his surfboard and just devote himself to the challenge of the waves. His second love was music. He was a talented musician and at every opportunity he would grab his guitar and start to play. Yair had a captivating smile that made everyone want to smile back at him. His friends and family want to continue in his path and commemorate him in a way that is suitable to his lifestyle, therefore we have chosen to build a spring in the community of Karnei Shomron in the landscape that he loved so much. We chose a spring because it is a place where people can come and enjoy the scenery, play music and sing together in a place that brings friends and family together. This is the path of Yair and this is what he would have wanted. Please partner with us so that we can continue in his special path. In memory of Yair Levin HY"D.
