In Moa Oasis, a home for a sublime vision is built Arava Spiritual Center A good place in the heart of the desert Following Lama Dvora's vision, Arava Spiritual Center has grown and developed in three aspects that constitute one whole: (1) Inner personal work and spiritual development. Arava Spiritual Center is a place for studying and practicing different authentic spiritual traditions, which also includes a retreat center that allows spiritual practitioners to go into solitude to meditate, for different lengths of time. (2) Working in the community and bringing people together. Arava Spiritual Center is an international center for peace, where various activities to bring people and communities closer together take place. As part of this mission, in the last two years we have held peace conferences that have paved the way for cooperation with spiritual and religious leaders from various schools. In the coming year, we will continue to make Arava Spiritual Center a home for peace activities. We will rent the place at a reduced price or completely free of charge to associations and organizations that work for bringing people together and for the hope of peace. We will allow them to use this magical space in the heart of the desert for their important doing. (3) Giving to underprivileged populations. Arava Spiritual Center and the association's volunteers will work to listen to and to empower underprivileged populations, especially those whose voices are not heard. In addition to the individual activities of association members around the country, Arava Spiritual Center hosts groups and individuals who not only cannot afford, but also do not have the emotional leisure for supportive and empowering activities. We will host people who volunteer in various communities to empower and cherish their work and we will subsidize the discreet participation of individuals in the various activities that will take place at the center. Moa Oasis - the place which we have rented for periods of time in the recent years, the place where a person's encounter with the desert brings an opportunity to take a deep look into ourselves and our lives, a place saturated with the wonderful vision and energy of peace activities and bringing hearts together, has always been and still remains the right place for those in our area. A window of opportunity has opened for us to rent the place for a long period of 15 years, a period long enough for the potential of continuous activity which will bring the transformation to the consciousness of individuals and communities. Lama Dvora, our association's Founder and Spiritual Director, sees the center in her vision as a source of blessing for our war-torn and conflict-ridden area and the world as a whole; a place which will provide an opportunity for every peace seeker, every spiritual leader, every active group, every religion and tradition striving for harmony and peace. Each one, in their different and unique way, will be able to see Arava Spiritual Center as a home and an opportunity to act - together and separately. In order for this vision to be realized, we need your help. We have launched an urgent fundraising campaign, which invites the general public to participate. Your contribution is intended to expand the activity and impact of Arava Spiritual Center. We are a non-profit organization and your support is the investment that will allow us to expand the facility, and make this huge enterprise flourish. We, as a nonprofit association, which relies only on volunteers who lovingly give from their time and money for this cause, take it upon ourselves to match the amount of money raised from the public.
