The Arava Community Center – based in Sapir, at the heart of Israel’s Central Arava between Be’er Sheva and Eilat along the Jordanian border – is a lifeline for one of the country’s most remote regions. Serving seven communities (five of them agricultural) and 5,000 residents, the Center delivers essential programs in health, education, welfare, culture, informal education, and elderly care. During the Iron Swords War, the Central Arava served as a safe haven, maintaining daily routines while hosting thousands of evacuees. Since the *Rising Lion* operation, however, the eastern border has faced heightened security threats, demanding greater resilience and preparedness. In a region marked by extreme climate, geographic isolation, and limited access to services, your support bridges critical gaps, strengthens community resilience, and sustains life on Israel’s frontier—advancing the national mission of making the desert bloom.
