Shadmot Mehola – Investing in the Future

By The Jordan Valley Development Fund

A dream comes true. We are building an Educational Center in Shadmot Mehola

Donors: 558

Forty years ago, a community called Shadmot Mehola was established on a small hill in the northern Jordan Valley. The pioneering spirit of its founding members built a beautiful and active religious Zionist community which is home to over 150 families. Shadmot Mehola boasts many institutions and infrastructure critical to function as a successful yishuv-Ashkenazi and Sfardi Shuls, a Mikveh, a yeshiva, a library, and parks. However, since it’s establishment, Shadmot Mehola has sought to build a multi-purpose educational center for its youth to serve as a hub for their Bnei Akiva, youth group meetings, cultural activities, and simply a place to gather. Currently there is no building in Shadmot Mehola that can serve as such a space. Shadmot Mehola’s youth are truly extraordinary. From organizing a summer camp for children with disabilities, to building monuments expressing their Jewish and Israeli pride, to promote Shabbat activities for grade school children, the youth in Shadmot Mehola are truly engaged in Torah v’Avodah. The founding members of the Yishuv have taken upon themselves the task of building a structure that will educate, inspire, and produce the leaders of Israel’s future. The Bnei Akiva building in the Educational Center is dedicated to the loving memory of Shlomit Krigman HY"D, who grew up in Shadmot Mehola and as a leader in the youth movement was a role model, known for her integrity and quiet nature. Shlomit was murdered in a terror attack when she was only 23 years old. We invite you to take part in this worthy endeavour!
