Give Deaf youth a Bar/Bat Mitzvah Celebration!

Most Deaf and Hearing-Impaired youth will never have the opportunity to experience a Bar/Bar Mitzvah celebration - IYIM’s mission is to change that - we believe every youth is entitled to celebrate this milestone and we invite you to help us make this happen. IYIM runs the ONLY program in Israel that allows Deaf and Hearing-Impaired Bar/Bat Mitzvah boys and girls to come together to celebrate this important milestone in their lives. For many, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate this occasion and visit the sites of Jerusalem. IYIM provides these youths with an unforgettable day of celebration which includes the Bnei Mitzvah ceremony, lunch, entertainment, and visiting the Kotel. IYIM’s main goal is to help these boys and girls celebrate their Bar/Bat Mitzvahs and make them feel included in mainstream society. It connects this special segment of the population to Judaism, Jewish history, and their roots and allows them to celebrate special milestones in their life. We believe every child deserves to be glorified and given the opportunity to celebrate coming of age. With your help, 2021 will allow over a hundred Deaf and Hearing-impaired youth from across Israel to celebrate their Bar/Bat Mitzvah together in Jerusalem!
