The way of heart

The project is operated by the "Derech Ha'lev" therapeutic boarding school. "Derech Ha'lev" assists youth, who have become detached from their home and society, are unable to adjust to the standard school system, and are on the verge of dropping out of school altogether. "Derech Ha'lev" provides youth with a nonjudgmental environment that offers warmth, love, acceptance and boundaries. "Derech Ha'lev" supports youth, who have become accustomed to hearing what they are "not" and "cannot", by repeatedly affirming that they indeed "can!" They can do it, they can succeed, they can move forward, and they can achieve many worthy accomplishments in their lives. The boarding school provides each young man with a large and embracing staff, including a teacher, a counselor, a social worker, and any other necessary professional assistance. All personnel are certified professionals, supervised by the Ministry of Welfare. The youth develop in numerous ways by studying for their matriculation exams, participating in a range of professional training, acquiring life skills, and, of course, healing their souls, as they are prepared for a life of responsibility. The boarding school's exceptional educational approach places full trust in its young students. The school believes each young man is inherently good, and is capable of unlocking and realizing his innate goodness with the help of a supportive and loving environment.
