הסיירת הצפונית (ע"ר)

Egoz foundation established after the Yom Kippur War, composed of veterans of the unit and bereaved families. Its purpose is to aid all members of the Egoz family, be they conscripts, veterans, or bereaved families. Another main focus is to commemorate the fallen of the unit. The foundation is registered in the Registrar of non-profit organizations and meets the criteria for good administration, and operates under the supervision of an audit committee, overseen by an accountant and attorney, and is recognized for tax purposes under Section 46 of the Israeli Income Tax Act. The members of the foundation work on a voluntary basis according to their skills and private time. The goals of the foundation: supporting the current Egoz soldiers, assisting those who are newly discharged, commemorating the unit's fallen and maintaining contact between veterans of the unit and the unit today.
