"The Friends of Carmel Medical Center" is a non-profit organization founded 25 years ago for the advancement of the medical science and research of Carmel Medical Center in various fields such as:
• Acquisition of advanced and essential medical equipment for the departments, patients welfare, promotion and upgrading medical quality.
• Encouraging medical research among hospital staff.
• Supporting and promoting renovation and construction projects in hospital departments and units.
Members of the Board of Directors and members of the Association are volunteers who are among prominent public figures in Haifa from the fields of economics, banking, politics and society, all of whom contribute their time and energies to the progress of Carmel Medical Center.
Public relations, which the organization develops, are one of the main leverages of fundraising and public support. These activities include organizing events for the general public and donors, such as an annual gala evening dedicated to upgrading or purchasing advanced medical equipment for one of the hospital's departments.
All incomes from these events are dedicated to the welfare of the patients and the promotion of the well-known medical quality of Carmel Medical Center.
The Carmel Friends Association is a registered association and holds a certificate attesting by the Registrar of Associations. Therefore, the contributions received are exempt from tax accordance to the law.
