The Beit HaTheotron organization operates with a vision of connection, dialogue, and cooperation among different communities within Israeli society, as well as between Israeli society and its neighbors. The association works in the fields of culture, education, and spirituality, inspired by the unique teachings and legacy of Rabbi Menachem Froman z”l. It is deeply rooted in Jewish tradition and literature while embracing the values of pluralistic and humanistic Judaism.
The association leads five main projects:
The Theotron Ensemble – A group of religious and secular theater creators working together in Jerusalem, striving to bridge Jewish theological content with the theatrical medium. The ensemble’s composition, thematic choices, and unique artistic language allow diverse audiences to engage with and enjoy its productions.
Zohar Chai Beit Midrash – A study and creative space dedicated to the Zohar, bringing together learners from across the spectrum of Israeli society—men and women, secular and religious. The Beit Midrash hosts scholars and educators specializing in the study of the Zohar and Jewish mysticism alongside artists, intellectuals, and creators from various disciplines.
Shoreshim-Judhur Initiative – A local Israeli-Palestinian initiative aimed at fostering coexistence and mutual trust in the polarized reality of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The initiative seeks to create opportunities for meaningful encounters between Israeli and Palestinian communities in Judea and Samaria, promoting a new social reality based on human dignity, trust, and mutual recognition. It encourages understanding without self-erasure, addressing painful and divisive issues with compassion and acknowledgment of each other's suffering.
Mitchabrim Project – A project dedicated to facilitating meaningful encounters among people from all sectors of Israeli society. It was established in response to the social climate following the events of October 7th and the ensuing war, highlighting the urgent need to strengthen unifying dialogue, build bridges between communities, and enhance the sense of mutual responsibility.
Spreading the Teachings of Rabbi Froman z”l – The association is committed to disseminating the teachings and writings of Rabbi Menachem Froman to the broader public. This includes publishing books and recordings as well as organizing lectures across the country.
