Elifelet – Citizens for Refugee Children is a non-government educational and aid organization dedicated to supporting statusless children in Israel. Our children are some of the most disadvantaged in Israel and we work to meet the dire needs of the children and their families, focusing on children's physical, emotional and developmental wellbeing.
Elifelet began in 2012 as a response to the poor conditions in unregistered pre-schools, activating a network of volunteers to provide developmental and educational support to the children. Since then we have grown together with the children, and now offer a range of programs from birth to age twelve. Working inside and outside of the formal school system Elifelet is on the front line of identifying and responding to the needs of the children as they grow up statusless in Israeli society.
