The technological advances of the 21st century have brought great blessings to humanity in countless areas in many different fields. Yet, it has also posed many challenges and dangers to individuals and society as a whole. These challenges range from a breach in privacy, to bullying and harassment, and to literally poisoning our children’s and youth's minds by exposing them to destructive content in an unregulated manner. Exposure to pornography and severe violence can greatly affect the minds of our young and bring harm to them personally, socially, in their marriage and family circles. These types of cognitive injuries affect the body, the soul and the spirit.
Screensaverz is an organization whose goal is to change this reality for the better in the online space and to bring about the proper use of this form of media.
The organization offers solutions and answers to all the challenges listed above.
Our organization works on the social, educational, therapeutic and technological fields of Internet users.
Developments in the organization's activities of the past year are:
• 30,000 boys and girls experienced life-changing Internet educational activities
• 15,000 teenagers and adults added filtering to their smartphones as a result of the activities
• Hundreds of referrals of youth to professionals for therapy and guidance
• 120 conferences and seminars were given throughout Israel
• 5,000 people signed our Knesset petition and hundreds of families joined our community - Screensaverz.
The organization has over 300 volunteers from all sectors of the Israeli society - religious, national, secular and ultra-Orthodox. These volunteers work intensively to change the reality in their environments - in their yeshivas, their communities and in their schools.
Over 5,000 people have been dealt with by our call center which offers assistance with the installation of existing technological solutions on their smartphones - at no cost.
