Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh

This is where a true revolution took place in terms of Torah learning for the National-Religious community.” (HaRav Chaim Drukman shlita)The ancient yeshiva Kerem B’Yavneh was founded two thousand years ago by Rabbi Yochanan ben Zakkai, who understood that in the aftermath of the Destruction, the nation’s survival was dependent on gathering scholars together to study and teach Torah.The modern-day yeshiva Kerem B’Yavneh is built on the same foundation and the same outlook, but in our day, the yeshiva is involved in Torah study that builds the nation in its time of redemption.It was Kerem B’Yavneh that initiated the focus on Torah study in the National-Religious sector. It was here that the concept of the Hesder yeshiva was born – the idea that Torah scholars have a deep obligation to protect the Land and its inhabitants.From the time of its founding in 1953, Kerem B’Yavneh has produced thousands of Torah students, including Roshei Yeshivot, dayanim, and rabbis throughout Israel and the entire world.
