Negev Rising enhances the quality and dignity of life of individuals and families by eliminating barriers to opportunity and helping people in need reach their fullest potential through integration within a young, warm and caring community.
Negev Rising is a community organization operating in the town of Mitzpe Ramon in the Negev region of Israel. We, the local residents established the organization in 2007. We work in close cooperation with the local council while connecting the various populations in the town, along with veterans, secular and religious, agriculture and high-tech workers.
The organization's members operate out of a sense of responsibility and love for the place and for the people, and over the years have established a large number of projects in the fields of education, welfare, and development.
From enrichment programs for children in a preschool and an elementary school through to empowerment and support for women who come from difficult backgrounds (violence, husband in prison, addictions). Connecting generations (helping senior citizen) and, the unique project; the social vineyard, the Ramon Vineyard, established in 2010, is the largest vineyard in the Negev (450 dunams – 170 acres). Established the hindsight to achieve long-term stability for all our projects. It offers wine tasting to its many visitors, sells grapes locally and to wineries nationwide to produce 450,000 bottles of boutique wine per year.
