Emek Hashaveh – Dialogue Center is Israel’s first not-for-profit “mediation mall,” providing convenient access to a full range of conflict resolution and prevention services in one location. We believe it is vital for Israel society and the Jewish world to develop a strong culture of conflict management, starting at the grassroots level. Our family and community services include consensus building, mediation, counseling, arbitration, early neutral evaluation, parental collaboration, and collaborative divorce — all provided by a highly-motivated network of fifty affiliated professionals who offer their services on a sliding scale. Emek Hashaveh also offers workshops and outreach seminars in Hebrew and English for students, parents, teachers, youth groups, mission participants and young couples. Emek Hashaveh is conveniently located in the Modi’in Technology Park, midway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
The Emek Hashaveh Dialogue Center is committed to preventing future conflicts by teaching basic mediation skills in the community, especially to young people. Inspired by Hillel’s dictum to “seek peace and pursue it,” we offer educational workshops and seminars for students, parents, teachers, municipal employees, youth groups and young couples just starting out. Our program for young couples, Zug U’Prat, is help young couples just starting out by providing them with basic mediation skills.
Our Center honors the memory of M.K. Uri Orbach, a former resident of Modi'in, whose career exemplified the values of shared society and civil discourse.
