Within the compound of the tomb of Rachel Amnu, the Jewish settlement in Bethlehem was renewed after about two thousand years. Old Bethlehem, the city of prophecy and kingship, the birthplace and meeting of King David and the center of the Torah from ancient times. We arrived here and several nearby settlements in the fields of Bethlehem and the lands of Beit Jala, In order to tell the people of Israel about Rachel's legacy in a Zionist spirit, To delve deeper into the story of going into exile and returning from it to Eretz Yisrael, And after thousands of years to say to Rachel our mother "And return sons to their border". In order to drive a stake and begin the renewal of the Jewish community in Bethlehem, the late Rabbi Hanan Porat and the late Rabbi Bnei Alon decided to establish the "Bnei Rachel" yeshiva in the tomb complex, in 2011, within Bethlehem, under the leadership of Rabbi Eliyahu Al-Kelsasi Shalit "A. This is in light of the vision of Rabbi Kalisher and Rabbi Kook, who strove to renew the Jewish settlement in Bethlehem, a settlement centered on the teachings of the Land of Israel and the love of Israel. Today Kiryat Yeshiva is being built on the site, 12 families and about 30 children live and occupy the place 24/7, and we can say with full mouth that the beginning of the growth and renewal of Jewish Bethlehem has begun! We believe that by virtue of the perseverance and effort to maintain a place of Torah and prayer and the settlement of the land here near the holy Zion of our mother Rachel, with much love for Israel and unity of hearts, we will soon have the fulfillment of the prophecy promised to Rachel our mother: "And return sons to their borders".
