The organization A.T.R.I.D. named over Rabbi Yitzchak Drai zt "l from the city of Setif in Algeria was established 45 years ago. The association was established in order to help children from disadvantaged families and new immigrants "OLIM" to celebrate their Bar / Bat Mitzvah in dignity and happiness. The organization purchases for each Bar Mitzvah, a set of Tefillin, Talith and Sidur as well as clothing that includes shooes, trousers, a festive shirt and a jacket.
The Bat mitzvah girls, also receive festive attire including dress and shoes as well as various gifts such as Shabbath candlesticks, challah covers and various Judaica products.
Every year, on the day of the Hilulah of the tzaddik's [Sivan 22nd], Hundreds of Bar and Bat Mitzvah from all over Israel are gathering together to Jerusalem. There, they pray together in the holy city and ascend to the Western Wall. Afterwards, they continue to a festive banquet hall in the city where they are celebrating, singing and dancing as well as eating a fest lunch and receiving the blessing of varies rabbies and public leaders.
From the day the association was founded, more than 9,150 children have celebrated their feast day through the ATRID association.
