Shetaltem Nigunim, a nonprofit association, is a human capital fund with an organizational structure in which everyone can experience a meaningful encounter with youth by volunteering according to a suitable framework, timing, and frequency. The name Shetaltem Nigunim comes from the first words of a poem by Fania Bergstein: “You, my mother and father, implanted tunes in me.”
The Volenteers
Our volunteers are ordinary people, just like you and me, you won't recognize them when you pass them.
We have teachers among us, military personnel, lawyers, accountants, farmers, therapists, artisans, high-tech people, carpenters and locksmiths. We are deployed throughout the country, from the Galilee and the Golan Heights to the Arava. There are adults who are retiring, 50 years old with grown up children, parents of children in schools and some of us are still pushing carts.
We understand that the volunteering experience is personal and empowering, but most importantly, promotes Israeli society to better places.
We locate the variety of volunteer frameworks. Our volunteers bring their talents, skills, knowledge and experience to each of the activities of their choice. Shetaltem Nigunim is a social initiative that allows us to have a meaningful experience and we hope that will make everyone who hears about it willing to join, thus expanding the circle of our main resource - people.
