In 1965, Rabbi Steinsaltz founded the Israel Institute for Talmudic Publications in cooperation with the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Education and Culture. Its goal is to promote the Rabbi’s mission of "Let My People Know” – making a world of Jewish knowledge accessible to all.
Rabbi Adin Even-Israel Steinsaltz is an educator, scholar, social critic, and commentator on Talmud and Hasidism, philosopher, social critic, and a prolific author of more than three hundred and twenty titles books published in ten languages.
Steinsaltz Center’s goals are:
Study
Creating tools to enable and encourage the Jewish People to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Jewish spirituality and culture via Jewish sources.
Experience
Deepening the spiritual and emotional elements in Jewish life, including the study of the full range of Jewish life and experience, including the basis and underpinnings of Jewish faith, integrating intellectual, educational, and experiential approaches.
Leadership
Preparing future generations through audacious creative aspirations, while taking into consideration the needs of the entire Jewish people everywhere.
Promoting the feeling of mutual responsibility among different parts of the Jewish community is a key goal of leadership.
The Steinsaltz Center aims to support and spread the teachings of Rabbi Steinsaltz.
