Leket Israel – the National Food Bank, was established with the goal of rescuing surplus, nutritious food and delivering it to those who need it most, thereby eradicating the issue of food insecurity. In 2025, Leket Israel rescued 32,049 tons of fresh agricultural produce from farms and packing houses and 2,243,221 nutritious cooked meals from hotels, corporate cafeterias and IDF army bases and distributed it through a network of 346 nonprofit partner agencies feeding 470,000 Israelis in need each week.
