Re'em, the association for the elders member of Menashe, was established in 1989 by the Menashe Regional Council to develop a range of services for the veteran population.
In 1993, the association established "Malo" - the regional veterans' center in a temporary residence at Kibbutz Ein Shemer, and in 1996, after the construction of the building was completed with the assistance of Eshel and the Mifal Hapayalis, activity moved to the current residence in Kiryat Education. In 2015, the "full" expansion was completed and the abode was adapted to future aging challenges.
The association established the club for the elderly in Mysore village, the community that supports Menashe, warm houses and activities for Holocaust survivors.
In July 2011, the association completed its transformation into a private nonprofit that maintains a direct affiliation with the Menashe Regional Council and is the executive arm of the Council's policy on the elderly.
In 2014, the Elderly Harvest Club was established in Harvest for the benefit of Russian-speaking veterans.
