The Eshkol Community Foundation

The Eshkol Community Foundation - Building life, community, and permanence along Israel's south-western border. The Eshkol Regional Council is home to 17,500 residents across 32 communities in Israel's western Negev, a region defined by agriculture, close-knit community life, and a deep commitment to Jewish presence in the land. Eshkol borders 40 km of Gaza and 20 km of Egypt, placing it as the frontline of Israel's southern security landscape, while supplying approximately 60% of Israel's fresh produce. On October 7, 2023, Eshkol was among the hardest-hit regions. Communities were destroyed, 259 residents were murdered, 119 taken hostage, and thousands were displaced. But Eshkol communities have returned home to rebuild. The Eshkol Community Foundation works in close partnership with the Regional Council to mobilize philanthropic partners and international supporters, transforming recovery into renewal across community resilience, infrastructure, health, education, arts, and culture.
