Society of Friends of Ziv Medical Center

The Society of Friends of Ziv Medical Center is a voluntary organization founded in 1964 with the mission of promoting and enhancing the medical services provided to the residents of Northern Israel at the government-owned Ziv Medical Center. This is achieved through fundraising efforts and the allocation of resources toward medical equipment acquisition and healthcare infrastructure development, in accordance with priorities determined by the hospital's management.

The Medical Center serves the residents of the Eastern Galilee and the Golan Heights, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers stationed along the northern borders, and the many visitors and tourists who travel throughout the region during peacetime.

The Association's leadership is composed entirely of volunteers who dedicate their time, expertise, and energy to advancing the Association’s goals.

The Society of Friends on a fully voluntary basis, including the roles of the Chairperson, Treasurer, committee members, General Assembly members, and Board members.

The Society employs only two salaried staff members, whose responsibilities include managing the donation process. All donations received are transferred in full to the purposes designated by the donor.

The Society holds all required legal certifications and approvals, including a Certificate of Proper Management and Section 46 approval from the Israel Tax Authority, which provides tax benefits for eligible donations.
