Hadassah Offices in Israel (HOI) was founded by Hadassah – The Women’s Zionist Organization of America Inc., (HWZOA) the largest Jewish Zionist organization in the United States with over 300,000 volunteers, members and supporters. HOI represents HWZOA before the public in Israel, the media and official institutions here.

HWZOA is the owner and supporter of Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO).

Since its inception, Hadassah’s pace-setting progress has set the standard for excellence in medicine and healthcare in Israel. For over a century, Hadassah has extended its hand to all, regardless of race, religion, or gender. People from all the countries in the region turn to Hadassah for help. We are proud that HMO is an island of peaceful coexistence with staff and patients from all segments of society working together for the benefit of all.

HMO’s two hospitals in Jerusalem have 1,370 beds, 41 operating theaters, and over 120 outpatient clinics. HMO also runs five schools of allied medical professions, owned and operated in collaboration with The Hebrew University. More than a million people are treated annually, with HMO providing practically every medical service available in the world’s most advanced medical centers.

HMO’s physicians and scientists are actively engaged in a wide variety of extensive basic and clinical research projects, looking for new ways to treat current conditions. More than half of all hospital research conducted in Israel takes place at HMO. Each department incorporates research units and the hospital houses many interdisciplinary research centers.

HMO has won recognition by Newsweek magazine as one of the world’s best hospitals in 2026, and ranked among the global top in oncology, cardiology, and smart technology for seven consecutive years.
