About the community:The "Netei HaHoresh" community is a new and young community, in the "Hahoresh" neighborhood located in the new town of Harish.Harish is a new city, currently being built in northern Sharon. The city is located near the cities: Hadera, Pardes Hanna-Karkur and the rural settlements in the Menashe Regional Council. Harish was established in order to solve the housing crisis in Israel and become an attractive alternative for newly established families at the beginning of their lives. The city is expected to house 250,000 residents in its final configuration. Most of the home owners are young families with small children.Our community now numbers over 150 families who come to synagogue on a regular basis. The families are mostly young couples, professionals in the early stages of their careers, most of them with children. Within the framework of the community, we run cultural activities, Torah and enrichment classes, volunteering in the city and its surroundings, and more.Activities for the Community:Some of the activities we've run to date as part of our contribution to the community include:• On Rosh Chodesh Adar, the community visited an old age home not far from the city of Harish, together with our children and musical instruments, to play and sing for the residents. The event was successful; the residents were very happy, the director of the facility sent a letter of appreciation to the community and members of the community who came to give strength to the residents, came back strengthened themselves.• On Passover, the community organized the "Kimcha D'Pischa" project, in which food boxes were packed by members and children of the community and distributed to needy families throughout the city.Community Activities:The community places emphasis not only on the synagogue and Torah activity, which is the anchor of the community, but also on shaping a collaborative community and mutual responsibility and assistance. Within the framework of Torah, the community conducts a number of weekly and monthly shiurim on various subjects for men and women. Shabbatot are organized, in which families host each other randomly. Community trips, professional workshops, evening events and more are organized. In the framework of mutual assistance, the community embraces every family that gives birth through organized meals for the family for the first week after birth. Community Vision:We aspire to fulfill the values on which we were raised: mutual responsibility, kindness, education, love of the people and the land of Israel, in the spirit of Torah and the tradition of the Jewish people. We are committed to act in the spirit of these values, for ourselves, for our children's education and to impact positively on the image of the city being built.The community welcomes every newcomer who comes to build and be built as part of our journey.Join us in realizing this important vision and help us transform it into a reality for our families, for the new city and for the people of Israel as a whole.Today, the community is praying in a temporary structure rented from the municipality. The temporary structure severely limits the community, new membership and its activities. It does not allow for regular prayers during the week, but only on Shabbat and holidays. The community is highly dependent on the municipality and its changing demands. We look to the future and want to build a permanent synagogue in the city. For this purpose, the community must raise capital for the construction of a synagogue, which will be built on land to be received by the municipality.
