Sanz Medical Center – Laniado Hospital was established in the city of Netanya as the fulfillment of a vow made by the revered Admor of Sanz, Rabbi Yekutiel Yehuda Halberstam, of blessed memory, who was miraculously saved from the Nazis. Shot during the march to the Dachau concentration camp, he vowed that if he survived the inferno, he would establish a medical center in the Land of Israel. The Rebbe lost his wife and eleven children in the Holocaust. He himself was the only surviving member of an illustrious and widespread family, but his personal loss did not stop him – quite the contrary. With the establishment of the State of Israel in the Land of Israel, he sought to fulfill his vow: to choose life and establish a medical center based on fundamental principles that include: · Providing holistic care to patients that focuses on the patient, not just the disease; · Providing treatment to everyone regardless of religion, race, or gender; · Employing medical and nursing staff that have both high professional standards as well as warmth and empathy. Over the years, these basic principles formed the basis for the Patients Rights Law enacted by the Israeli Knesset. For over 40 years, Sanz Medical Center – Laniado Hospital has been providing medical care to hundreds of thousands of residents in the greater Netanya area in the Sharon region. We provide treatment for this population, which has been constantly growing in recent years, through 54 departments, outpatient clinics, special units and ambulatory services. We invest in acquiring advanced equipment and technologies in order to ensure the finest treatment possible. We also invest in building high-standard facilities and patient-tailored design that takes into consideration the quality of life of both patients and family members. Sanz Medical Center – Laniado Hospital is a mosaic of cultural diversity and tolerance whose goal is to alleviate the suffering of patients from all sectors of Israeli society. We serve a population of over 500,000 Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze and, of course, a large number of tourists
