SAHI – Special Hessed (Grace) unit operates youth-giving units all around the country. In SAHI we work together with teenagers from Israeli socio-geographical periphery neighborhoods. They set up grace units in their own neighborhoods and through their participation in giving activities, change their own lives for the better. The teenagers understand that they have a mission - to help anyone in need of assistance in their surroundings. In SAHI we believe in the good core that exists in every person. The participating youth come from all sectors of Israeli society and together they secretly provide food for impoverished families, volunteer with elderly people, assist Holocaust survivors, take action against boycotts in schools, and meet the needs of the neighborhood by initiating diverse giving activities. Today, there are more than 40 SAHI youth giving units across the country, with 1,500 participating youth, thousands of alumni, hundreds of volunteers, trainings, national campaigns, and a pre-military service gap year program.
