Tachlit

The "Tachlit" Organization helps families in need, widows, orphans and underprivileged families. In view of the situation, in recent days our organization mobilized for the residents of the south and the soldiers of the IDF in several ways: 1. Distribution of 3,500 food baskets, including food, fruits and vegetables, to families in the southern region: Ashkelon, Sderot Ofakim and Netivot. This is in addition to the regular distribution of 1,400 food baskets per week in Jerusalem and the surrounding area. We also distribute pampering meals to IDF soldiers in the combat zones. 2. There are thousands of sick and wounded who are confined to their beds and wish to be visited, studied with, and given attention. Many of them are in need of psychological assistance, some of them are lonely and need close supervision inside the hospital. The association established a framework that provides an answer to those patients. As part of the project, we connect the staff we train (for a fee) with patients hospitalized in hospitals across the country. From our experience, this activity mentally helps the injured patients and their families and so far we have received amazing and exciting responses. 3. A system of transportation to hospitals in which children and adults with serious and terminal illnesses are transported to hospitals. We have just embarked on a special Campaign called " BEERI". It is our goal to be able to purchase or lease these items before years end. Please make it a priority to give to Tachlit at JGive and receive your American Charitable Tax Deduction. We have 3 objectives of which one we have just recently achieved with your gracious efforts. 1. A new Forklift, used to lift large packages received from the Wholesalers. (dry goods, fruit & vegetable produce.) Cost 7,000 NIS ($2000). We just achieved this goal and will receive our new forklift next week! 2. A Forklift used to throw out the huge amount of waste, boxes and garbage generated from the freight and repackaging the produce for local use. Cost:$7000 3. Our aim is to lease a brand new truck for 5years. 5 year Cost: $71,500. Annual Cost $14,285.71 . The monthly cost is a reasonable donation of $1,190.00. Our 2008 Toyota Truck has to be repaired weekly.
