Ha'Sharon Sexual Assault Crisis Center

Hasharon Sexual Assault Crisis Center (RCC Sharon) provides practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence and their immediate environment, and delivers community-wide education programs to achieve awareness and prevention of sexual violence. Our mission is to respond to immediate crisis and long-term needs of survivors by means of a trauma-informed approach, as well as to change cultural and social norms that are supportive of sexual violence. We are the only Rape Crisis Center in the Sharon region that provides comprehensive services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including a toll-free hotline, chat on-line, legal and medical advocacy, and individual and group counselling. We are a primarily volunteer-based organization aided by qualified volunteers, who receive specialized training and ongoing supervision. Compelled by mission and guided by experience, RCC Sharon has pioneered innovative and effective programs to address sexual violence. Our response and prevention programs are constantly evolving and expanding, and several of our programs were scaled up into a national service. We foster a culture of collaboration and share best practice with other RCC Centers to enhance support for survivors.
