Alon and Ella - People for the Community

Alon and Ella – People for the Community is an Israeli nonprofit founded in 2020 to serve as a home for volunteers, connecting people who want to help with those who need support. We believe that volunteering and mutual responsibility bring communities together, strengthen social resilience, and expand the circle of care. Each year, our organization assists tens of thousands of people across Israel, regardless of background, age, sector, or religion. Our growing community includes more than 7,000 volunteers, as well as companies, organizations, and members of Israel’s security forces who volunteer through our programs. We also serve as a volunteering platform for hundreds of organizations, leading meaningful and hands-on volunteer initiatives across the country. Since the events of October 7, we have expanded our efforts to support families affected by the war, evacuees, wounded individuals, and members of the security forces. In recognition of our impact in strengthening the spirit of volunteering and mutual responsibility in Israel, Alon & Ella was awarded the President’s Award for Volunteerism in 2024 and holds the Midot Seal of Effectiveness.
