The Jerusalem Hills Children's Home provides a warm home and therapeutic environment for 90 of Israel's most at-risk boys and girls ages 6 to 15.
Jerusalem Hills operates as a special education school, a children's home, and a comprehensive therapeutic treatment center that caters to the unique needs of each child. The Center's framework and special treatment approach have proven highly effective over the years, earning international recognition.
Despite coming from different parts of Israeli society, these children share a common pain: they have all been victims of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, neglect, rejection, or abandonment. From a young age, they learn to employ various defense mechanisms to cope with the anger, anxiety, and distrust they feel, which often leads to aggressive and destructive behavior. For many of them, Jerusalem Hills represents their last chance at rehabilitation, offering them the opportunity to overcome their challenges and integrate into normative society as adults.
For over 80 years, the Jerusalem Hills has helped thousands of graduates who have become healthy and productive members of Israeli society.
