BeNetivei Udi is an Isareli non-profit that was established in 1994 by Mordechai & Georgette Elgrably in memory of their son Udi, a paratrooper and a communications officer who was killed in action defending the country in the security zone in Lebanon. Udi was a graduate of Yeshivat Netiv Meir ( Bnei Akiva) in Jerusalem & Yeshivat Har Etzion in Gush Etzion. Mordechai is a former member of Knesset and deputy director in the Ministry of Education.
BeNetivei Udi continues to uphold the values that Udi Elgrably cherished in his life: social responsibility, unity, and the breaking down of barriers between different segments of Israeli society. The organization runs 3 programs on a national level: Nitzanim, Garinei Udi, and Out of the Depths. Moreover, a youth impact center “Beit Udi” is being built in Be’er Sheva together with the municipality.
