Hadrat Kodesh Synagogue is a historical site that has been declared one of Israel Heritage Site and started on
the process to raise funds to repair it.
The reason this synagogue is so important is that in the downtown area of Haifa, there is no synagogue which prevents from Jewish people who keep Shabbat from living in the area. Additionally, when tourists come to visit Haifa, can visit the Bahai Gardens, they can visit Stella Maris Church and a Mosque, but there is not a Synagogue for them to visit that is an attraction in Haifa, which is pretty shocking as it's one of Israel's three major cities. The NGO that has been mobilizing the process of restoring the synagogue has committed to making it also a museum and a cultural center and tourist visitors point. If we are successful in restoring this synagogue, the real meaning of this is that there will be a religious/spiritual/cultural center in the downtown area of Haifa which we hope will serve as a revitalization of Jewish life and community in the downtown area of Haifa, which I believe is of great value to the city of Haifa and the entire northern region of Israel.
