The Mifne Center for Treatment, Training and Research (since 1987) specializes in early therapeutic intervention of autism in infants up to the age of two, diagnosed with autism or at high risk of autism (ASD), utilizing a critical period of time, which constitutes a window of opportunity for brain development and its impact on the entire course of life. The therapeutic approach combines psychological, interpersonal and environmental aspects and focuses on all the neurodevelopmental components of the baby, through play therapy and sensory stimulation, in order to leverage the baby's abilities to engage and communicate. Parents, who are the main resource in the development of their children, are fully involved in the treatment. The treatment framework includes 3 stages:1. Intensive short-term systemic family therapy at the Mifne Center in Rosh Pinna. 2. Follow-up treatment at the family's home, accompanied by skilled therapists trained for this purpose. 3. Integration in nurseries with the guidance and guidance of the Mifne Center staff. One family is treated in each treatment cycle, the unique treatment is a family tailored made. The intensive program usually takes about 300 hours during 21 consecutive days of treatment! Training - The Mifne Center established In 2001 the first school for training therapists at Bar-Ilan University, which trains therapists to work in the homes of families in the community. Research - The Mifne Center conducts international research in collaboration with academic institutions, including Bar-Ilan University, Tel Aviv University and UCLA. Following groundbreaking research conducted in 1997-2007, the Center developed a tool for detecting predictive autism in infants ESPASSI ©, which is studied worldwide. 88.3% of the toddlers treated at the Mifne Center are fully functional in mainstream educational frameworks. Time Is of The Essence!
