Bezri

B’ezri (funded by American Friends of Yad Eliezer) is a leading Israeli charity organization that serves as a beacon of hope for tens of thousands of poor families annually, bringing them critical relief from diverse challenges while also working to help them break out of the poverty cycle. B’ezri’s varied programs provide food security (such as baby formula, help for Shabbos plus Yom Tov aid for families and IDF soldiers), support for almanos and grushos, thousands of new winter coats & blankets, funds for simchas and during times of crisis, plus numerous other types of assistance that alleviate need. Job training and microfinancing programs help families overcome financial hurdles in order to become self-supporting. All this is done at the highest level of effectiveness, with a $40 million dollar budget and an astoundingly low 4% overhead.
