The Ohel Sarah Foundation was established in early 2020 to help struggling families pay their electricity bills.
How Does It Work?
We receive referrals for families in need of assistance from professionals: social workers, lawyers working in welfare, third-sector organizations, and others.
The family sends us their electricity bill, and we pay it directly to the Israel Electric Corporation (IEC).
This way, your donation always fills this specific need, without getting lost among other existing debts. This ensures the families' worry-free access to electricity.
In the future, we'd like to broaden our scope of assistance to other basic needs, such as water and food bills. The method will always be the same: direct paid assistance for a specific need.
One more thing…
100% of Ohel Sarah's donations go in full to the families that need them. The foundation is run entirely by volunteers and thus has no salaries, managing fees, or other operating expenses.
