The organization was established in memory of 1st Seargent Gad Yitzhak (Gadi) Ezra z”l, who fell during “Operation Defensive Shield” as he attempted to evacuate his injured comrade from the field of battle. Gad was awarded a “Citation for Camaraderie and Courage” from his Division Commander. Established by his family and friends a month after Gad’s death, “Ezra Mi Gad” is the operational branch of the organization, dedicated to putting families in need on their feet financially and socially. The organization is run by Gad’s family, friends, and a committed group of volunteers, including local youth. In addition to providing food, home supplies, clothing, and other essential goods, we provide our families with financial, family, and career advising so they can learn the tools necessary to obtain independence. In addition, we strive to create a community among the families so they can learn from and support each other along the way. To date, “Ezra Mi Gad” has helped tens of families discover a better life, and we are seeking to expand our program to reach even more families in the coming year.
