The Academic College of Tel-Aviv-Yaffo (MTA) was established in 1994 and has developed into the leading state-supported College in the country, offering superior education at the B.A. and M.A. levels. It has six major schools: Computer Sciences, Information systems, Management & Economics, Behavioural Sciences, Government & Society, and Nursing Sciences. MTA establishes itself as the Impact College of Israel – aiming to Make an Impact through teaching and learning, research, extra-curricular activities, and institutional management. We are developing best practices to promote multidimensional sustainability that will influence the society, the environment and the economy. By the Making an Impact MTA aims to promote positive change in the world and cultivate people who promote positive change in the world. Located at the heart of Jaffa, one of Israel’s most vibrant multicultural cities, the College was founded on three pillars that represent its core values: academic excellence, social justice and activism, and business and entrepreneurship. The best way to describe MTA is as a bridge: It is a geographical bridge between the ancient port city of Jaffa and the hyper-modern metropolis of Tel Aviv, as well as between the north and south of Israel. It is a cultural bridge that fosters greater understanding between Jews, Christians, Muslims, and people of all religions and ethnicities. And it is a social bridge, bringing together students from every walk of life, including many from disadvantaged communities who are often the first in their families to pursue higher education, becoming positive role models for the generations who will follow in their footsteps.
