Torah MiTzion

Torah MiTzion was founded in 1996 to ignite the flames of Religious Zionism by sending shlichim to the Diaspora who create centers of Torah learning (Batei Midrash) and foster a deep connection to the Land of Israel, welcoming Jews of all backgrounds and knowledge levels to engage with their Jewish heritage and connect with fellow Jews. The Diaspora is experiencing alarming levels of assimilation, and for nearly 30 years, Torah MiTzion has successfully addressed this challenge by carrying out its mission. The impact of our programs is clear: those influenced by Torah MiTzion emissaries (shlichim) exhibit a significant increase in Torah learning, connection to Israel, and Jewish identity, as well as higher rates of aliyah, IDF service, and integration into Israeli society. The Torah Learning Centers are staffed by dynamic, high-impact educational shlichim—men and women, singles and families— who provide one-on-one (chavruta) learning, formal and informal education, and community programming. They organize events, host personalized gatherings, and strengthen Jewish life through meaningful interactions, such as Shabbat dinners and more. Torah MiTzion established the 'Lev Yehudi' project in 2002 for Israelis with the goal of operating a warm Jewish home for Israeli backpackers in India (in Dharamshala and Hampi). A family of shlichim hosts a variety of activities around Jewish thought and values, through which the travelers get to know and experience their own connection to Judaism and Zionism. Torah MiTzion founded ‘Lilmod.org’, an online and interactive Learning Center (Beit Midrash) in 7 languages - Russian, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Ukrainian and Polish, giving global access to Torah study. More than 2,500 students take part in our weekly courses, learning Jewish studies and Hebrew.
