The Revolution Orchestra is a creative playground for original Israeli orchestral music. The orchestra’s shows enable musical creativity, testing music’s relationship with other art forms and presenting a new orchestral format integrating dance, theatre, cinema, and video art.
Founded in 2004 by composer Zohar Sharon and Conductor Roy Oppenheim, while they were second year students of composition and conducting, the orchestra continuously runs under their artistic direction, with an extensive annual program, running regularly at the Israeli Opera House, Haifa Auditorium, and Herzliya Performing arts Center, and takes the stage more than 140 times per annum. It has performed at leading venues; collaborating with renowned artists such as Vertigo Dance Company, The Cameri Theatre, Infected Mushroom, and Third World Love.
