The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development reveals the connection between religion and ecology and mobilizes faith communities to act. ICSD manifests these goals primarily through five projects. First, ICSD thought leadership on religion and ecology delivers our unique faith-based ecological perspective via short video messages on social media, with a recent campaign with Nas Daily garnering nine million video views. Second, ICSD engages in the Faith Inspired Renewable Energy Project, in cooperation with faith institutions in Africa and an Israeli renewable energy developer, to deploy solar fields in Africa. Third, the Interfaith Eco Seminary Engagement Project promotes teaching of ecologically informed theological education, to spur courageous moral leadership for sustainability. Fourth, ICSD publishes and distributes Eco Bible, a groundbreaking commentary on the Hebrew Bible, and the Eco Preacher resource for Christian pastors. Fifth, ICSD co-organizes interfaith environmental conferences that amplify the voices of religious leaders and scientists on spirituality and ecology. ICSD is a registered non-profit organization in Israel, and was founded in 2010.
